What a Nashville Takeover Weekend Looks like
-
Friday afternoon, you roll into a local brewery or patio, the official registration spot. You check in with your QR code, grab your wristbands or lanyard (VIP), and immediately notice something different: artists are casually hanging around, grabbing drinks, chatting with locals, blending right in. No barricades, no “backstage” — just real Nashville culture dropped into your town.
Next up is the Opening Party, where the whole weekend warms up. Drinks, music, and conversation set the tone, and everyone is buzzing.
If you’re holding a VIP Founders Pass, you slip into an exclusive VIP pre-party with the artists. Relaxed, intimate, and photo-worthy. It feels like a private Nashville industry hang before the shows even begin.
When the parties wrap, the lights drop for the Opening Evening Showcase, which is a songwriter round that sets the emotional tone for the weekend. Stories, harmonies, humor, and the kind of chills you can’t get from stadiums. 2-3 songwriters take the stage to share their songs and stories.
When the showcase ends, the night kicks into overdrive with the Late-Night After Party Jam (exclusive to Weekend Plus + VIP Founders). All artists show up and take turns collaborating, swapping guitars, jumping in on covers, and sometimes

Saturday is where the town really transforms.
The afternoon brings the Bar Hop + Venue Takeovers, where you move across patios, breweries, and secret spaces — but here’s the kicker: Not every venue is the same.
Some are quiet listening rooms in bars or small theatres, where you sit and take in pure storytelling.
Some are lively and social. Drinks flowing, people mingling, music filling the room.
There are even theatre-style shows by reservation in most towns. First-come-first-served, for those who crave a focused listening environment.
And in many towns, Saturday features an out-of-town farm or barn showcase — a rustic, magical setting you’ll remember forever.
The goal isn’t to cram everyone into one space, it’s to offer choice, comfort, and vibe. There are always enough options to accommodate everyone, no matter their style.
Saturday night brings the Big Evening Showcases, where Nashville and Canadian songwriters deliver powerful songwriter rounds — laughter, tears, harmonies, and goosebumps included.
Once the showcases wrap, it’s time for another Late-Night After Party Jam — again exclusive to Weekend Plus + VIP Founders — where the energy peaks and the room feels like an underground Nashville club. Artists collaborate spontaneously, everyone’s singing, and surprise guests may appear out of nowhere.
VIP Founders often enjoy reserved sections, special lounges, line skip, light food and drinks, and meet-and-mingles depending on the town.

Sunday shifts into Sunday Funday mode — relaxed afternoon showcases with pints in hand, windows open, and no rush. It feels like a songwriter brunch without the brunch.
The weekend closes with the Finale Showcase on Sunday evening — a final round of stories and songs that wraps the weekend like the last chapter of a good book. No after party tonight — the finale is the finish line.
